Petaling Street Food

In the hustle and bustle of Petaling Street, amongst the various peddlers and small stalls, Madras Lane is one of the many interesting eatery lanes in the Petaling Street area. Cutting through the fish and meat market we landed ourselves here on a hot Sunday afternoon to try out some of the Yong Tau Foo and other delights.

The Yong Tau Foo stall had a rather long queue compared to the other stalls and also had people queuing for take-aways so this was something we definitely had to try. The Yong Tau Foo was decent and perhaps the long queue had me waiting in anticipation to try it and raised my expectations. Also found it rather strange that they would place everything into the one bowl, including the fried stuff.

Besides that, we also had a taste of the Assam Laksa and Chee Cheong Fun which was average and probably wouldn’t make a trip to Madras Lane specifically for it.

Be in on a cold rainy day, sick time, hot time and supper time, porridge can be eaten anytime as it is easy to digest. Started off by the mother back in 1949, Honkee Porridge made their name in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur which famous for their raw wan yue fish porridge. Their Petaling Street open for business at 7 am and finish around 11pm.

Now you no need wake up so early just to catch their porridge. It is available anytime for you in 2 new location which the first one is Lot 10 Shopping Mall in Star Hill under the Hutong Food Court. Another one is located pretty near to my house in Damansara Uptown. In this review, I am going to talk about their Damansara Uptown outlet.
